Maker Of Artists

Posted on Updated on

A picture is able to show others ones point of view. The photo itself does the work for you. One does not need to describe what one saw. Readers could join the journey through the photos. The writer doesn’t have to work as hard describing the environment, people, and emotion for the reader. When the description is replaced with a picture as viewed above. Photography is an art.

There are stories from the past that are mention about art that I could think of in

Exodus 31: 1-11 ESV “The Lord said to Moses, “See, I have called by name Bezalel the son of Uri, son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah, and I have filled him with the Spirit of God, with ability and intelligence, with knowledge and all craftsmanship, to devise artistic designs, to work in gold, silver, and bronze, in cutting stones for setting, and in carving wood, to work in every craft. And behold, I have appointed with him Oholiab, the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan. And I have given to all able men ability, that they may make all that I have commanded you: the tent of meeting, and the ark of the testimony, and the mercy seat that is on it, and all the furnishings of the tent, the table and its utensils, and the pure lampstand with all its utensils, and the altar of incense, and the altar of burnt offering with all its utensils, and the basin and its stand, and the finely worked garments, the holy garments for Aaron the priest and the garments of his sons, for their service as priests, and the anointing oil and the fragrant incense for the Holy Place. According to all that I have commanded you, they shall do.””

Not only art yet a responsibility these artists had. So should be artistic, creative, well executed, and well crafted. What I’m trying to say nothing comes easy it’s hard work. There’s a greek phrase Kalepa ta kala which means that beauty is harsh translation things are not beautiful without difficulty.

Photography is a art that expressing feelings, thoughts, and observations. It impacts our world, and even into the deepest part of our existence. So in the end I thank God for being our ultimate source and putting in the hearts of man to create beautiful things.

A Week On Grace

Posted on Updated on

Significant ministry flows out of significant relationships. The discussion in the class was on the grace of God. Hope this is helpful as it was for me.

GRACE

The life transforming gift of God that will keep you and sustain you.

• Justice– Getting what one deserves.

• Mercy– Not getting what one deserve.

• Grace– Is getting what one doesn’t deserve.

What are you Grace to do?

-Pastor Bruce Monk

The teaching on grace was

Who are you?

What do you do?

Who do you do it for?

Thanking and Praying for John Sparrow for taking the time to share on God’s gift of Grace.

“But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace toward me was not in vain. On the contrary, I worked harder than any of them, though it was not I, but the grace of God that is with me.”

‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭15:10‬ ‭ESV‬‬

April 2017 I like to first thank our Lord Jesus Christ and you for giving to such a time like this. I was thankful for the opportunity to support God’s work through Silver and Karen Duarte at Alpha y Omega ministries. Our team headed out Wednesday morning by car to Mexico. There were a few bumps on the road during the trip and the team was almost sent back to California for not having the trailer registration that we borrowed. However by the grace of God the boarder chief allowed us through.

Translating for pastor Silver.

Heading towards the market.

Playing street soccer.

Youth building getting painted.

Young men painting.

Digging a ditch to set up the billboard.

In all things I have shown you that by working hard in this way we must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he himself said, “It is more blessed to give than to receive.”  Acts 20:35

I’ve learned that the things that man thinks are insignificant brings a loving environment, and shifts the street to life.

“Don’t let anyone think less of you because you are young. Be an example to all believers in what you say, in the way you live, in your love, your faith, and your purity.”

1 Timothy 4:12 NLT

The Graduates

Posted on Updated on

March 2017 Its the last week for students before they graduate. Students arrived in LAX from Greece safely. Students are recovering from their jet lag. If you like to read a little more about students outreach click on the link.

At this moment I ask you to join our team in prayer for these students as they’ve gone through much change. That students may rest and adjust to the time here in California. As they prepare to go into another chapter in their lives.

Team and I had a chance to fellowship with local high school and middle school youth.

I’m perplexed! There is nothing I could do or say that could express how deep God love is. He’s given me opportunity to work with YWAM Pismo Beach. I’m deeply grateful for your contributions. I would not be here if it wasn’t for you. He’s such a great God that he speaks to us in vision, dreams and through a burning bush.

“And the angel of the Lord appeared to him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush. He looked, and behold, the bush was burning, yet it was not consumed.”

Exodus 3:2 ESV

Breathe In The Autumn Air

Posted on Updated on

October 2016 It’s the fourth week of lecture. This would not be possible without you. Last week’s topic was the father’s heart. Students learned about the character of God as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

At this moment, we are planning and praying. Students will be heading to Greece working with refugees. YWAM Pismo students will also be attending YWAM united, which is a gathering of 15 bases from around the world. They will be sharing the gospel and hearing people’s stories. The focus of this school is Media and Justice. As we plan, we are waiting on the Lord with expectation that the Holy Spirit will lead us.

As we commit this time to the Lord, I ask you to join our team in prayer for these students as they get closer to their outreach to Greece. Because of you these students will embrace the time in Greece and be the hands and feet of Jesus.

Thank you for keeping our Pismo Beach team in your prayers!

Praise Report

Thank you for your support and prayers I have become full time staff member with YWAM.

Prayer Request

Keep the staff and leaders of YWAM Pismo Beach in your prayers against any illness or sickness.

“Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change.”

Leading teams For Mission

Posted on Updated on

July 2016 I am now a 2016 Graduate from School Of Ministry Development. SOMD is a course that I took at Youth With A Mission Pismo Beach that helps develop students and gives them the tools and resources they need in order to build the kingdom.

Now that I have completed this school, I felt God leading me to continue working with YWAM. I will be a part-time staff and will also be working part-time. My vision and goal is to become full-time staff so that I can be teaching, preparing, and leading out teams into the nations.

This Fall we will be receiving students from different countries who will take part in a six month Discipleship Training School (DTS). The focus of this school is Media and Justice. After three months of training in Pismo Beach they will be going to Athens, Greece and other parts of Europe to work with refugees. I am excited to assist and work alongside this school!

Thank you for keeping our Pismo Beach team in your prayers!
